Tuesday Totals & Weigh In Wednesday

As expected, I went way over my points allowance this week.  I did a reality-check weigh in Monday morning and was up about five pounds since last Wednesday, but quickly dropped back down.  After a vacation, it’s amazing how getting back into your healthy eating routine can get you back on track quickly.

Monday, 8/29/11

breakfast – 1 cup vanilla sunrise cereal with sliced banana and 1 cup almond milk
AM snack – peach, coffee with hazelnut soy creamer
lunch – Amy’s Indian Mattar Tofu frozen meal
snack – Mary’s Gone Crackers Curry Sticks & Twigs
dinner – fat-free chunky vegetable soup, two slices daily bread topped with 1 tsp Earth Balance and 1 Tbs nutritional yeast
after-dinner snack – 12 tortilla chips

Tuesday, 8/30/11

breakfast – grits with 1 cup almond milk and 1 Tbs nutritional yeast
AM snack – banana, coffee with hazelnut soy creamer
lunch – 1 cup saag aloo (spinach & potatoes), 1/2 cup dahl, 1/2 roti bread, 1/2 cup basmati rice
PM snack – 2 dates
dinner – 8 oz shirataki fettuccine with blushing alfredo sauce, wilted spinach, roasted cauliflower and baked tempeh

Exercise – Couch to 5K Week 6 Day 2 repeat (20 minutes running, 13 minutes walking)

Extra (non-existent) points used:  2
Activity points earned:  5

Success of the day:  I had to buy lunch out and settled on an Indian lunch special.  I ate only half of most of the items and took the rest home for later.

I weighed in this morning at 168.3.  That’s up 1.1 pounds from last week, but still down a half pound from two weeks ago, so all things considered it’s still progress to me.  I’m going to try to leave more points on the table this week to compensate and keep moving ahead!

Wednesday, 8/31

breakfast – 1 cup vanilla sunrise cereal, 1 cup almond milk, strawberries
AM snack – banana, coffee with coconut beverage
lunch – 8 oz shirataki fettuccine with blushing alfredo sauce, wilted spinach, roasted cauliflower and baked tempeh, 12 tortilla chips
PM snack – 1/4 cup wasabi wow snack mix
dinner – raratouille with chickpeas, sourdough seeded baguette

Exercise – 40 minutes elliptical
