No VeganMoFo pots today – too much to do, and much too tired. I’m just writing to say that I’m running my first 5K tomorrow, and I’m excited! I’ve never run 3 miles before, and I’ve never run in an organized event, so it should be a fun new experience. I’ll be satisfied if I finish without stopping to walk, happier if I finish in 45 minutes, and super-mega happy if I finish within 40. I ran 2.8 miles in just over 35 minutes yesterday, so hopefully that’s a good indication of a pace I can keep up.

breakfast – 1 cup optimum slim cereal with sliced banana and 1 cup almond milk
AM snack – 3 mandarin oranges, coffee with soy creamer
lunch – yellow rice, Cuban black beans, seitan ropa vieja
PM snack – multi grain pretzel nuggets
dinner – four slices pizza with mushrooms, green pepper and extra sauce, two MGD 64’s
daily points used: 29
weekly points used: 11
I wasn’t going to drink at all tonight to make sure I’m not dehydrated tomorrow, but I had a somewhat stressful and tiring week at work (and a busy evening tonight), and I needed the stress relief. MGD 64 is pretty much alcoholic water anyway, so I think I’ll be okay!

Good luck! Don’t be afraid to walk/run! If you ran 2.8 though yesterday you should have no problem running the whole thing. There will be a lot of people cheering you on and others running with you that help motivated your feet forward.
